This expanding specialist insurance provider is looking to recruit a Risk Systems Developer to develop the technical side of their Risk department, allowing it to meet future challenges and regulation.
The Risk Systems Developer works inside the Risk infrastructure business unit, a multi national team that was put together to engineer and develop tools to meet the functionality requirements of the firms Risk Management professionals.
The job is two fold. Firstly to take their Risk tool requirements and engineer them from scratch – combining off the shelf components and totally bespoke programming. Secondly the Risk Systems Developer will review the existing risk systems environment and offer improvement suggestions to both the flow of risk data and the use interface (s). Whilst this well paid Swiss developer job is for an insurance company the skill set suits a highly technical developer, well versed in transforming business needs into real world efficient software.
The Risk Systems Developer must be able to provide software engineering services to meet business analysis requirements. Therefore they will need to be able to analyse and define project plans and take charge of all tasks leading to a successful implementation of new Risk Analyse infrastructure. There will also be an element of providing (at least initially) support services for the tool (s) you have created and an almost constant development of the user interface to match it to new emerging technologies and mobile devices / ways of accessing.
To be considered for the Risk Systems Developer, which is a very well paid Swiss job in insurance, you have a computing degree and at least two years solid experiences in engineering software solutions to complex business problems on time, on budget and within in clearly defined project criteria. You will have an excellent understanding of data ware housing and ETL processes and be able to document the steps you have taken. You must be fluent in English and German would be useful.
