The global re-insurance company is looking to recruit a Risk Specialist to join their specialist property division.
This department is made up of Risk Specialists who work on providing the underwriting teams with risk quality, loss estimates, and loss prevention measures for all large industrial accounts. This is achieved by the review and examination of a variety of third party technical risk information, which looks at each clients risk mitigation tactics and strategies. Interestingly it also provides the opportunity to carry out risk inspections onsite and face to face customer reviews.
The customer base is made up of mainly large industrial international firms, particularly drawn from the food preparation, pharmaceutical & chemical industries. The Risk Specialist is expected to become a guru with regards to above market sectors and the specifics of their risk approaches. Besides providing internal and external training & information courses you will be asked to author best practice guides and risk papers.
For serious consideration for the Risk Specialist vacancy it is expected you will already be a Risk expert with significant exposure to the relevant industries and worldwide Fire Prevention review criteria. The ideal profile is of a Risk professional with at least two years experience as a Risk Analyst or Engineer for a loss prevention consultancy or insurance provider. It is expected that they will have a full grasp of fire protection and loss prevention standards like the NFPA (or similar). You must be willing to travel, have fluent English and ideally some French.
