This innovative and rapidly growing fund manager and alternative asset management specialist is looking to recruit a Quantitative Analyst to join their Geneva based fund.
As one of the Quantitative Analyst you are a member of the Portfolio Management Team and do quantitative development for the Investment Team. However this organisation uses many computer based trading systems and has a reputation of employing the latest investment management technology to give them an edge. As such the successful applicant to the Quantitative Analyst vacancy will be a tech savvy, computer model builder with a very high level of programming skills as well. In many ways this is a hybrid Swiss fund job between the Investment Team and IT department as you implement quantitative prototypes requested by Portfolio Management, Research and Risk Management in .NET or VBA.
In this well paid Geneva fund job you will develop investment tools and solutions and support various quantitative developments. You will translate documented requirements into productive applications thereby leveraging the existing corporate software platform and improve the tools with the latest feedback from users. Additionally, you define quantitative models and implement them in running prototypes and support the analysis and documentation of business requirements with key users and analysts.
For real consideration for this Swiss fund job you should hold a degree in Mathematics / Economics / Physics or a similar highly numerate subject with a financial background, extensive programming knowledge and a good understanding of business needs. A proven track record of VBA and .NET is required for this position.
You are a pragmatic and independently working person with at least five years experience in the financial industry, outstanding communication skills (excellent English is a must) and a commercial view. You are quality focused as well as process and details oriented, like to work under pressure, are committed to meet deadlines and are able to operate on different projects simultaneously.
