The Merger and Acquisition department undertakes / investigates a number of international cross border M & A transactions each year. The group of M & A Analysts is critical to the success of these ventures. Essentially the M & A Analyst provides full support and research upon these transactions. This can and does include constructing detailed financial models, researching specific companies and investment vehicles, industry sector analysis and everything that leads towards the creation of a detailed business case for acquisitions or divestments. It is due to the critical nature of the M & A Analyst appointment that has lead to profile for the successful applicant being the following:
- Degree in a numerate subject from an acclaimed university
- Being able to demonstrate real talent in creation of analysis of companies and markets and create detailed research on the fly
- Experience in building financial models, valuation models and valuation analysis
- At least two years prior M & A experience
- Fluent English
- A drive for success and glory
