This Swiss based Swiss independent Alternative Asset Management specialist is recruiting for a Hedge Fund Risk Analyst to join their Zurich based practice.
The company has a 10 year track record in offering alternative investments / hedge fund solutions and advisory services to institutional and private investors. The entire team manages more than CHF 1 billion in assets under management and is invested in about 80 single hedge fund managers. The Hedge Fund Risk Analyst works to understand and quantify the risks involved in the different strategies / funds. This is a business critical fund job as understanding the risk / return strategy is key for the successful management of their fund of hedge funds portfolios. As member of the department you will be involved in the analysis and reporting of the risks associated with the different hedge funds.
As Hedge Fund Risk Analyst you will have varied responsibilities and as a member of the risk team your main responsibility will be the risk assessment of our hedge fund investments. The risk assessment is an element of the initial due diligence prior to investment as well as a part of the ongoing monitoring of our investments. It involves a detailed understanding of the strategy and the subsequent analysis of market risk, concentration risk and liquidity risk. The basis for this analysis is exposure and position reports as well as market information. In addition you will carry out tasks / analyses in areas of the general responsibility of the risk team.
To be considered for the Hedge Fund Risk Analyst vacancy you should have a solid fund / hedge fund background preferably combined with a strong quantitative basis. You have a few years of hands on experience in financial markets. Ideally you are familiar with a broad range of trading strategies employed by hedge funds. You have a high quality standard and you are used to work independently. Since close interaction with the portfolio management and our operational due diligence team is required you will have good communication skills. Lastly you will be fluent in English.
