This international financial services company is looking to recruit a Head of Global Investment Operations to join their Zurich head office. This is a senior operational Swiss banking job equivalent to a COO / Chief Operational Officer position.
The Head of Global Investment Operations is responsible for the operation effectiveness of the Investment Administration department and the central Accountancy department. This is a group level appointment. In essence the Head of Global Investment Operations forms the central link between the board and operations team members, local customers and other global operational business units.
To achieve that overall aim in this well paid Swiss banking operations job there will be a series of regular duties and responsibilities you must undertake. The Head of Global Investment Operations defines the very remit of the Operations team – its end to end processes, the nature of its internal and external services and the monitoring of these services (including defining the KPIs).
In concert with that the Head of Global Investment Operations leads the evolution and search for increased efficiencies within all processes and systems. They will have to set standardised processes wherever possible and ensure the correct sign off chains are followed and introduced. Should you be successful in your application for this prestigious vacancy you can expect to also take charge of ensuring compliance with all regulation and the implementation of the correct risk policies.
Lastly the will have to ensure the full and correct professional development of all operational and accounting staff. You must ensure global training, mentoring and career development and to manage the business relationships with all respective partners.
The Head of Global Investment Operations must deliver a truly global service, so you can expect significant travel and be adept to co-ordinate complex operation remotely as and when required.
For serious consideration for the Head of Global Investment Operations vacancy you will have to fit a specific professional profile. This is:
- At least 5 years managing a global business unit in a multicultural environment – probably COO or equivalent
- At least 5 years of practical experience in banking or insurance industry.
- A graduate.
- Process management experience
- Proven organisation development skills
- Outstanding change management skills
- A recognized leader
- Budgeting, cost management and talent in financial reporting
- Capable of being the public face of a international recognized business.
- Fluent English
- Experience leading and delivering IT & process projects
