This Swiss private bank and wealth management solutions provider is looking to recruit a new Head Compliance Officer to work from their Zurich HQ.
The Head Compliance Officer is a senior, business critical Swiss banking compliance job. The role revolves around preparing and monitoring the compliance program of the bank in such a manner as to prevent, exclude, pinpoint and rectify any Securities law violations by the network of US investment advisors & brokers and the Swiss based securities dealer teams. In essence this equates to taking responsibility for the compliance function for the banks private advisory business units and its overall performance.
Within that overall remit the Head Compliance Officer shall perform as the Anti-Money Laundering manager of the division. In this well paid Swiss compliance job you shall sit on the management council of the Advisory business and led the regulatory development and access and create the response to new legislation. You will act as a source of expertise for the other senior managers on Compliance and escalate issue to them when it becomes necessary. In short you will also be the main Compliance contact for all external regulators and the internal audit department. Whilst based out of Zurich you can expect to spend regular time in New York.
To be considered for the Head Compliance Officer vacancy you should have at least five years experience in a similar senior compliance job in banking. You will have exposure to compliance in terms of US broker dealer in Registrations, FINRA or Anti-Money Laundering. It is expected you will be able to demonstrate previous knowledge of broker dealer regulations. Needless to say given the senior nature of this well paid Swiss banking job you will be a peerless communicator and net worker, able to function at the highest levels. Due to the analytical nature of the role it is also expected you will hold either a degree in Law or an MBA.
This is a vital appointment for the bank, taking as it does such an increasingly important job over such a business critical team. As such the bank is willing to pay what is required to attract the right calibre of in individual.
