Commodities Risk Manager - Banking Job in Switzerland

This commodities trading giant is looking to recruit a Commodities Risk Manager to join their Baar office.

The Commodities Risk Manager is involved with managing and improving the risk management operations for a global commodities trading and marketing organization. Upon a daily and weekly basis the Commodities Risk Manager will undertake extensive risk reporting on trading. This will include scenario and VaR analysis and also undertaking stress testing and modelling of risk scenarios. Obviously it is essential that these results are distributes to the relevant senior management on an international level and that the Commodities Risk Manager is available to help them understand the results. This will lead to the Commodities Risk Manager being asked to make recommendations to help evolve and improve the risk framework and ensure that it accurately captures all the necessary additional risk factors. In concert with that you can expect to be asked to ensure the risk framework is accurately incorporated in the system process and that the software tools are functioning at the optimum level. Finally the successful applicant to this well paid Swiss Risk Management job will undertake a variety of market pricing verification exercises and ensure that this information is available for dissemination.

For serious consideration for the Commodities Risk Manager vacancy you must have at least five years experience in a risk position that focuses upon the commodities markets. In combination with that you will hold a degree in a quantitative discipline like economics, maths or statistics. You should also have experience in risk measurement including VaR analysis and stress testing of risk frameworks. Finally you should be an Excel power user and have used the Riskmetrics platform.

Obviously the Commodities Risk Manager is an extremely important appointment and as such commands an outstanding remuneration package.
