Working for one of the worlds premier insurance providers the Capital Risk Platform Developer is part of a core back office department. This specialist Swiss technical support job is based in Zurich.
The Capital Risk Platform Developer works inside the Treasury capital Markets team, who are themselves part of the global treasury department. Essentially the Capital Risk Platform Developer provides support at a technical level when this group produces Risk Capital (specific to the treasury) on a S+ and R calc platform. Should you apply and be successful in your application for this well paid Swiss technical job in insurance, you can expect to be asked to have constant input in various projects and to help create the internal and standard models for SII. The publication and authoring of business requirements for the platform releases will fall into your remit as well.
On the technical front the Capital Risk Platform Developer is charged with authoring the technical specs and to manage the technical side of the projects. You will also take responsibility for the evolution of all processes for the production of the platform and the business lines that will employ it. You can also expect to have to handle new requirements to these calculation platform(s) resulting from Solvency II, Risk based capital projects and Swiss Solvency test demands. You can also expect to heavily involved in RBC,SST & SII database development.
To be considered for the Capital Risk Platform Developer vacancy you will have at least two years experience in an IT technical role in the finance industry, where you make use of, and have developed, proven VBA skills. Applications from individuals who can combine that will S+ and R strengths will be welcome. You will need to have strong data modelling skills and be comfortable in running complex VaR simulations. Finally you must be fluent in English and comfortable not only with transforming business demands into technical workable plans (and action these), but being able to explain to none technical managers what you are, will be and have done.
