The central Zurich office of this international insurance and re-insurance firm is looking to make a strategic appointment. They want to recruit a manager for there Capital Management team.
Essentially the Capital Management Operations Manager heads the department that builds Capital Models and results for use by other business units in the Group. The Economic Capital Model includes the Swiss Solvency Test and Solvency II models and also the rest of the internal Risk Based Capital models. Central to the duties of the Capital Management Operations Manager besides accurate, timely delivery of this model is to ensure its evolution and development.
Should your application for this well paid Swiss insurance job be successful you can expect to find yourself in charge of the production process for all three main models . Swiss Solvency, Solvency II and Risk Based Capital. To deliver these complex metrics you will be liaises with many different teams and managers in other parts of the firm. You will be charged with the development of all capital modeling and co-ordinate that with central Group Risk Management.
The team you head will be made up of highly skilled experts with specific areas of expertise – it will be your job to co-ordinate these talents effectively. You will also ensure the whole Economic Capital Modeling process confirms with the rapidly changing regulatory environment and ensure the firm retains full compliance and the required level of transparency to the relevant authorities and bodies.
For serious consideration for the Capital Management Operations Manager vacancy you should hold a numerate degree and have also attained a relevant further level of study – like an MBA, Actuarial qualification or CFA. You will be skilled and have a proven track record in economic solvency, constructing risk based capital models and a full understanding of insurance regulation. Finally you will have fluent English and excellent management “soft skills”.
